Drought.

I am dry and barren;
a withered desert.
This dry spell is not kind,
it is not jaw-dropping,
it is not inspiring.
I dig deep into the emptiness —
my wide-open, bare, mind,
and search,
for anything.
I find a drought…
awaiting and open to hydration.
